OceanPods live in Indian Ocean

Kenya and Tanzania already have a large seaweed industry employing 30 000 persons, mostly women. So to start production Arbon Earth have worked with some Kibuyuni seaweed farmers to produce OceanPods. They have great knowledge about seaweed production. Magnus worked on the site for a couple of weeks to fine tune the methods. It is also nice to have ongoing research project operations with OceanPods in the Indian Ocean. Our engagement in Kibuyuni boosts the economy of this coastal community, increases biodiversity since our Oceanpods serve as floating fish nurseries, and strengthens the coastal resilience.

We are proud of our Kenyan partners.

We use local algae species in our OceanPods.
